2015 Sid's Block Cabernet Sauvignon
Sid Herman came to Sonoma in the late 1960's to enjoy the local lifestyle. He liked the idea that some people were starting grow grapes on their property, and he asked his friend at Landmark Vineyard for some assistance planting a vineyard in the 1970’s. Today, these old vines produce a Cabernet with a unique terroir expression with some sage, terra cotta and olive notes to go with dark fruits.
"The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Sid's Block is medium to deep garnet-purple colored and intensely scented of crushed blackcurrants, menthol and bay leaves with touches of chocolate box and eucalypt. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with juicy black fruit, framed by firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and minty."
